Title of the Sub-Project:
Logistic Competence Centre for REGINS Partner Regions - REGINSlog

Description:
Today, goods mobility and environmental problems are key issues for regional sustainable economic growth. Since goods mobility is an issue of private economy, there is no regional partner institution for these questions. Thus, following good practice experience within the Stuttgart Region, a regional logistics competence centre (LoCC) that tackles with regional business development in the field of logistics in a European context, should be set up in other REGINS partner regions, too, starting with Lombardy and Upper Austria which have leading roles in transport logistics for Europe.

Main working item of the sub-project is the set-up of logistics competence centres (LoCCs) in Lombardy Region and Upper Austria through:
- knowledge transfer from KLOK (Logistics Competence
  Centre Kornwestheim) of Stuttgart Region
- setting up the organizational structure and the business plan,
- establishing the regional partner networks,
- integrating the new LoCCs into an open network on
  European level.

Regarding the contribution to the strategic aims of the REGINS framework operation, the new LoCCs will enable the regional actors in the field of logistics to build partnerships within their regions as a base for interregional cooperation. Common projects with ongoing exchange of experience will result in sustainable know-how transfer. This transfer will be further strengthened by the common knowledge platform and the exchange in training and education. The integration of the new LoCCs into the open network "ENLoCC" will give access to coordinated dissemination activities on project results.

Project Partners:
- KLOK - Competence Centre Logistics Kornwestheim (D)
- Regional Institute of Research of Lombardy (I)
- Verein Netzwerk Logistik (A)
